Crawlability and indexation

First I establish whether search engines can reliably find, render and index the pages that matter.

I review robots directives, XML sitemaps, status codes, redirect chains, canonical signals, noindex usage, orphan pages and crawl paths. I also look for duplicate or near-duplicate URLs that can dilute signals.

Site architecture and internal linking

A strong architecture makes important services easy to reach and explains the relationship between topics.

What I look for

Schema should describe visible content accurately; it is not a shortcut to rankings or guaranteed rich results.

I use page-appropriate JSON-LD and keep it consistent with what a visitor can see. For this type of site that can include Person, Organization or ProfessionalService context, WebSite, WebPage, BreadcrumbList, ProfilePage for the About page and Article for genuine editorial content.

Google supports a defined set of structured-data search features, so I do not add made-up “AI schema” or markup that does not match the page.

Validation

Test eligible markup in Google’s Rich Results Test, inspect the rendered URL in Search Console and fix critical errors before scaling deployment.

Performance work should improve real user experience, not chase a laboratory score in isolation.

I inspect LCP, INP and CLS alongside image weight, fonts, third-party scripts, caching, layout shifts and mobile interaction. Priority goes to issues that affect both usability and commercial pages.

Before migration I inventory valuable URLs and map old-to-new destinations. After launch I check redirect behaviour, canonicals, sitemap URLs, internal links, crawl errors and indexation movement. The aim is to preserve meaning and equity while making the new structure cleaner.
